BURNT WOOD

Film Eternel Regard

Eternal Gaze is shaped by the genesis of drawing: from what I see—do I perceive an image, or the thing itself? What sparked the first image? Was it sound at the origin? Or fire?
My film revolves around four images and hints at the vision of a reconstituted body.
Is the time of the gaze a ritual ?

Tenderness

An image of tenderness captured during one of my film shoots at sites of memory—the Maladrerie district and around the Caen detention center (14) in 1996.
Ongoing series since 2018.

Grands dessins fixés

As a tribute to the sunrise, I lit a fire; upon pulling a charred piece of wood from the flames, I saw its mark on the ground—a drawing, a dance, was born and still continues to this day. (Since 1986).
It is a performance in itself.

In situ

In abandoned industrial sites or deconsecrated churches. From 1987 to 2019.
